01

Copy the widget

Copy the complete ImagenTra widget generated for your store's domain.

02

Open your theme

Access the files of the active PrestaShop storefront theme.

03

Add ImagenTra

Add the widget near the end of the global storefront layout.

04

Clear cache & test

Clear the PrestaShop cache and test the widget on the storefront.

STEP 1

Locate your active theme

Access your PrestaShop installation using your hosting File Manager, FTP/SFTP or your normal development workflow.

Themes are normally stored inside:

/themes/YOUR-THEME/

Make sure you are modifying the theme currently used by your storefront.

IMPORTANT

Back up the theme first

This is a manual theme modification and may be overwritten when the theme is replaced or updated.

The future ImagenTra PrestaShop module will remove the need to modify theme files manually.

STEP 2

Add ImagenTra to the storefront layout

PrestaShop themes contain shared layout templates used to build the storefront.

Locate the layout that contains the end of the page body and the displayBeforeBodyClosingTag hook.

...

[YOUR IMAGENTRA WIDGET CODE]

{hook h='displayBeforeBodyClosingTag'}

{block name='javascript_bottom'}
    ...
{/block}

</body>

Add ImagenTra immediately before the existing end-of-body section. Do not remove or modify PrestaShop's existing hooks.

THEME DIFFERENCES

File names can vary

PrestaShop themes can use different layouts and template structures.

The important part is to place ImagenTra in the shared storefront layout near the end of the page body.

STEP 3

Clear the PrestaShop cache

After saving the modified theme, clear the PrestaShop cache so the updated template is used by the storefront.

Then open the public store in a new browser window and test ImagenTra.

TEST

Check your product pages

Test the homepage and at least one product page where customers will use ImagenTra.

DOMAIN VERIFICATION

Verify your PrestaShop domain

Verification is only required to access ImagenTra statistics and analytics. It is not required to use your purchased package.

Because a normal self-hosted PrestaShop installation gives you access to the site's files, you can use either ImagenTra verification method.

1
Temporary verification widget

Temporarily replace the normal ImagenTra widget with the verification widget. Load the verification widget from the same device where you requested the verification. Restore the normal widget after verification succeeds.

2
.well-known verification file

If you have access to the website's hosting files, upload the ImagenTra verification file to the required .well-known directory and verify the domain.

RECOMMENDED

Use the .well-known file

Since you already need file access for this manual installation, the verification file is usually the simplest option.

It also avoids temporarily changing the live ImagenTra widget.

READY

Your PrestaShop store is ready for ImagenTra

Once the widget loads on the domain associated with your package, ImagenTra is ready to use.
